'I want Marathi films'
She has the rare combination of beauty and brains. She was one of the first to trash the myth that models and actresses couldn''t pursue careers after marriage. And she is the most glamorous mom around. Yes, we are talking about supermodel turned actress and former Mrs World, Aditi Govitrikar, who is all set for a second innings in the film industry.
Aditi was in Pune recently.

And what take one by surprise was her chaste Marathi and complete lack of I-am-a-supermodel-actress attitude. So how has she managed to survive in the industry, despite her down to earth attitude and married status? "In the film industry people have a fixed image, which demands an unmarried heroine. But I don''t think the public really cares about the actress'' marital status."
Does she think she chose the wrong movies considering all her films like Dhundh-The Fog and December 16 flopped at the box-office? Says she, "There are no guarantees at the box-office. Even movies made by the biggest banners with the most popular stars can end up as flops. One needs a lot of luck for a hit, too," she says.
Is she comfortable running around trees? "I love it all..the jhatkas and matkas..everything," she says with a smile. What''s in the pipeline? "I have just signed a movie but I don''t want to talk about it as I am a bit superstitious," she reveals.
Born and bought up the Maharashtrian way Aditi speaks shudh Marathi. But why hasn''t she worked in Marathi films? "Many people are not aware that I can speak Marathi. I would love to act in Marathi movies but I have never got any offers. I feel strongly about reviving Marathi cinema. I am glad they are getting their due at last. As far as I am concerned I want to do at least one Marathi film every year," says she.
When so many marriages in Bollywood are falling apart, what is the formula of her successful partnership? "My husband is very understanding about my crazy work schedule. But he knows everything about my work and the projects. I even ask for his advice. Trust, respect and caring for each other are important in a marriage, as is giving enough space to each other. That''s how I define love too," she says.
